Club Participation with YouthAction NI 2018-19

  • GetSet March 2019.3Several Club members were delighted to participate in the latest YouthAction NI Big Skills Day on Tuesday 26 March together with other Business Partners from JCI and Phoenix Gas and youth coaches from Coca Cola HBC. 50 young people in groups were mentored in workshops covering Knowing Your Skills, Interview Skills, Developing a Business Idea and CV Building.

YouthAction NI's Training Team Leader Claire Conlon thanks all for making the Big Skills Day such a huge success advising that 92% of the participants rated the day as very good or excellent! "The feedback from young people and external workers has been so positive and it was great to see the young people really engaging in conversations with you all, getting really involved in your workshops and, with your support and encouragement, getting up and presenting their business ideas – which were brilliant! It was a great day for everyone and thank you all so much for giving your time to YouthAction and especially for giving your time to talk to and support the young people who attended. A great day all round and a great example of community and business working together with young people!"
  • SGP 0272Several Club members thoroughly enjoyed the superb production of Grease by YouthAction’s Rainbow Factory at their Gala Night Friday 17 August - there were some real stars of the future! The week’s production was a sell-out.
