Homeless

The Club is supporting the charity - Belfast Homeless Services not only through the Club Christmas Appeal but also on a practical level.

The work of the Charity and the difficulties they face was outlined by the Charity's Service Co-ordinator Liz Crummy at a Club meeting 17 November. Having recently moved to new premises, she highlighted its refurbishment has enabled them to increase their volunteers and greatly expand their opening times and services. 

In the autumn members kindly donated warm clothes such as coats, waterproofs, jumpers, gloves, blankets, sleeping bags which the charity had requested. 7 bags were delivered by PP Alan and 20 sets of waterproof clothing, kindly donated by Shaun Hannon, were handed over when President Heather, PP Alan, Shaun, QUB students Corinn Olsen and Carter Darger had a most inspiring visit to the Homeless Centre’s new premises.
