President Mark presented him and, member of the party, President Peter Williams, from the neighbouring Rotary Club of Wellington, with banners.

IMG 2375IMG 2378Ironbridge Club PP John Anderson regaled the room with a short presentation on the location, area and history of the Ironbridge Club noting that it had been formed in 1955 and had 26 members. He revealed that they undertake several projects including Xmas wrapping and supermarket bag packing but that their major fundraising project undertaken with 4 other local Clubs (including the Wellington Club) was the Tree of Light at Christmas which this year raised £42,000 for 5 local charities. He pointed out that they have a large number of tourists visiting the area and, in particular, the 10 museums! He revealed that intriguingly 1 of the museums has a Belfast connection - the tiles in the Crown Bar came from Ironbridge Jackfield Tile Museum.
