John Savage Award 2025-26

LMP 13.04.26The Club is delighted to announce the John Savage Award and Bursary 2025-26
has been awarded to Lady Mary Peters for her charity the Mary Peters Trust.

It is awarded by the Club annually to an individual or group selected as giving great service to the Community and was created in 2010 to highlight the work of former member the late John Savage whose unique Scouting career was dedicated to looking after young people and trying to help them make a path in their lives.

It was presented to Lady Mary by President Heather at the Club meeting Monday 13 April. Accepting the Award Lady Mary noted she was very honoured to receive it in recognition of the work her charity the Mary Peters Trust does to help young people progress in their sports to the rostrum. She revealed that at the last Olympics held in Paris 4 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze medals were won by the young people the Trust supported and that they hold the record for producing the most number of Awards for the size of the population in the world!
