Rotary Club of Belfast

Uniting for Good

PE Heather 09.06.25Next year’s Club President Heather Shiell was delighted to lead the presentations of her teams’ plans and her aspirations for the next Rotary year at the Club Meeting Monday 11 June. These include projects in the local community with schools, young people, the homeless and community organisations as well as helping communities across the world. A particular focus will be on ensuring we have meeting times to suit and that there is fun in everything we do. The Club will also continue its support for Rotary’s campaign to End Polio Now – which is so important as we are so close to ridding the world of this terrible disease. Club members also appreciated the encouraging and inspiring comments from Rotary Ireland Assistant Governor Roland Bailie.

President Elect Heather takes up Office 01 July and is looking forward to getting involved in Rotary and working together to Unite for Good. She will be introducing new projects for different age groups and organising, particularly for those with hip issues, gentle walks around the Mary Peters Track.
