Rotary Club of Belfast

About Toccata

Toccata logoToccata comprises a group of dedicated musicians who all have considerable experience as individual performers, or working in orchestras who dedicate their time and their talent to raise funds for, and to raise the awareness of, the work of many different charities, and to reach out to those in need.

The choir is in great demand singing in churches, theatres and concert halls throughout the region.

They frequently travel and are committed to bringing music to all corners of the globe, in particular, to places and people who may not have access to live, professional performances whether for geographic or financial reasons.

Sunil PaulrajToccata is headed by Dr Sunil Paulraj, whose inspirational leadership and tireless commitment to music has led to many years work as a producer of shows in India and, since his move to Belfast, in the UK.

A highly respected paediatrician by day, Sunil is a passionate musician in his free time. His achievements are legendary. His radiant, and unusually high tenor voice, and his charismatic performance ensures his success wherever he sings!

Toccata is committed to working with local musicians, craftsmen, dancers and performers in their productions and encourages the interaction and cultural exchange both artistically and personally. As part of their ongoing work, Toccata strives to give local artists the chance of not only broadening their experience during production, but also to be able to perform in other countries. Many of Toccata's members have volunteered to work with local children giving music, singing and drama lessons and also to offer their expertise and experience by supporting local teachers.

Toccata believe that in giving, you receive, and the members are dedicated to sharing their passion for music with others, regardless of age, religion, race or colour in the common goal of supporting noble ideals and charitable work.
