Mitchell House School
Our Community and Vocational Chair, Ken Morrison, organised a Christmas party on 16 December for the junior school at Mitchell House following the same successful pattern of the previous years.
We started with some singing and games – which were wonderfully run by the Staff and involved every child. Then we had the drinks and snacks before another hilarious show for the adults by
Magic George - he never disappoints us all – kids and adults alike.
The usual loyal helpers were assisting – Brian Ferguson and Brian Clements (both of whom organised either morning snacks or going away present bags - every child enrolled in the school received a Christmas bag of goodies, even if they were off with flu). Our Ambassadorial scholar, Martha Josephson, also helped out.

The morning party finished on an incredible high with the arrival of a splendidly attired Santa Claus – laden down with a huge sack of presents. Santa had a vague resemblance to President Courtenay. We had the usual noisy present giving session for each kid.
What a day for the kids, they had a ball and the enthusiasm was contagious - all the party of Rotarians really got a buzz also!
