Mitchell House School is a co-educational special school located in east Belfast for up to 80 children between the ages of 2 and 19 years with physical disabilities. The Club has developed a special relationship with the school and for several years the Belfast Club has provided Christmas parties for the children which have been great days, the kids have a ball and the enthusiasm is contagious.

The school also participates in our 'Kids Out' Programme (see separate section).

2012 Christmas Party

The Club organised its traditional Christmas Party for the Mitchell House Junior School andin 2012 it took place at the School on 19 December. As in previous years it was another resounding success, enjoyed by the children, staff and volunteers.

The children enjoyed some singing, games drinks and snacks and another hilarious show by Magic George who never ceases to have not only the children in raptures but also the staff and the helping Rotarians.

This year they were (from left) President Elect Ken Morrison, Past President Brian Ferguson, Mark Davidson, Walter Rader and, not pictured, PP Brian Clements.

Santa (who had a remarkable resemblance to PP Courtenay Thompson) distributed the presents.

As always those who were there are left with amazing happy memories and all members should appreciate just how beneficial this project is.
