Lendwithcare
The Club is actively supporting Lendwithcare - a microfinance website set up by aid organisation Care International UK to help people in low-income countries to start or expand their own small business.
The entrepreneurs do not want charity but support to enable them make their own decisions, develop their business, feed and educate their families. These are loans not handouts; the money is paid back in instalments, over a specified period. A small loan (typically £15 -£45) from many investors means a huge opportunity for the entrepreneur.
The Club see our Lendwithcare donations as providing direct assistance to seed new businesses and provide much needed support to business people hoping to provide a sustainable future for their families and enhance their local communities. These small loans have a dramatic impact in societies less fortunate than ourselves.
The Club have invested in total in 129 entrepreneurs since January 2018 and are currently investing in 24 entrepreneurs (detailed below) the balance of requested funds being made up by other individuals/organisations (an * indicates not yet fully funded). Lendwithcare decided to write off future repayments from 2 loans to entrepreneurs, all the 103 repaid loans have been fully repaid and are detailed in the menu right.
