A Musical Journey

Past President Brian Clements at the Club meeting Monday 11 November gave an extremely interesting, entertaining and impassioned appreciation of the importance of music in his life which has been his life-long passion; his love of music having been nurtured by his parents. He highlighted many of the people who subsequently influenced his love of music as well as many of his organ playing highlights. He revealed that he felt playing the organ "was like getting on a train - you cannot hear what you are playing you just start and keep going".

Concluding his very well-received address, he highlighted several quotes on music including Plato’s: Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.
