Rotary Club of Belfast

Christmas Party 2018

IMG 1604IMG 1623This year's Mitchell House Christmas Party on Friday 14 December was another resounding success, enjoyed by the children, staff and, not least, by the Club members who attended President Mark, PP David Boyd, PP Maurice Brooks, William Cross, PP Brian Ferguson, John McCleery and former member PP Ken Morrison. The enthusiasm is always contagious and Magic George was his usual hilarious self.

Having had drinks and snacks Santa (who again bore a remarkable resemblance to former member PP Courtenay Thompson….) distributed the ("just what they want"!) presents with a kind word for each and every child.

IMG 1661.2As always, it was an amazing morning with special memories of the squeals of delight, the peals of laughter and sheer enjoyment from all the children, staff and… Rotarian 'elves'!

Confirming how beneficial this project is the school are very grateful and, as usual, sent a card made by the children.

The Club thank all who attended or contributed in any way, particularly William Cross (organiser), PP Brian Clements and PP Brian Ferguson for obtaining respectively the presents and the refreshments and former member 'Santa' PP Courtenay Thompson.
